Moving Forward

Ex. 14:13-22 (NKJV)

There are times that we come to a point in our lives that we need to move forward, but we end up just standing still or going backwards. The Lord likely has a plan and provisions in place for us, we just need to trust Him. In the scriptures today, we see the children of Israel being told by the Lord that it’s time to move forward. The Lord already had a plan and provisions in place to prosper them, but He needed them to trust Him and move forward.

What does it take to move forward successfully?

Moving Forward you must always:

Choose Faith over Fear
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7
a. Fear of Failure causes many to stand still.
b. Fear of loss causes many to stand still.
c. Fear of rejection causes many to stand still.
Choose the Lord over Logic
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Prov. 3:5-6
a. Logic of which way is best causes many to stand still.
b. Logic of what is most secure causes many to stand still.
c. Logic of what seems most prosperous causes many to stand still.
For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

It’s time to put the past behind you and start Moving Forward with the Lord leading!
