1 Thess. 5:16-18 (NIV)
The scripture doesn’t say, be joyful when everything is going good, pray when you have spare time or be thankful in certain circumstances. No, it says that joyfulness, prayer, and thanksgiving should be a continual part of our lives no matter the circumstances!
Joyfulness, prayer, and thanksgiving are like triplets with the same spirit. If one is missing the others suffer. If you don’t have joy in your life, it’s probably because there is prayer or thanksgiving missing in your life regularly.
- Praying continually is to be God conscious and seeing everything in view of Him.
(12:12) - Thankfulness in all circumstances is focusing more on the good and blessing more than the challenges.
(4:6) - Joyfulness always is a byproduct of praying continually and being thankful in all circumstances, because joy is a fruit of the Spirit.
(5:22)
Missing joy in your life? Maybe there is a lack of prayer and thanksgiving continually in your life.
