Week of Prayer for International Missionaries - Day 7

We praise You for the ministry of Nick and Amber Sroka in Brazil. Thank You for the support they provide to other missionaries, but also their heart for the lost and hurting among them.

We pray for the Indigenous families they minister to, many of whom have been rejected by their tribes when they refuse to kill their children born with disabilities. The Srokas work with Christian partners to show people that everyone is created in Your image and has great worth. Thank you for using Nick and Amber and Brazilian churches to bring the hope of the gospel into difficult — and often unimaginable — circumstances.

Fill the Srokas with love, compassion, and wisdom as they share the gospel with those who may come from unreached people groups. Send more long-term workers and volunteers from U.S. churches to partner in the work. Provide more opportunities for the gospel to transform lives in Brazil.

Remember that our Children’s Christmas Play and

Remember that our Children’s Christmas Play and the Christmas Choir practice times have been changed for this Sunday, December 7th.

The children will meet from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Sanctuary. The Christmas Choir will meet from 5:00 – 6:00 PM in the Youth Room and then move to the Sanctuary until 6:30 PM.

If you have any questions, contact Wendy Kidd regarding the Children’s Christmas Play or Michael Yaeger regarding the Christmas Choir.

Join us this Sunday, December 7th for Youth #Christmas Worship in the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services. We will also have a #baptism during the 11:00 AM service.

During the services, we will be lighting the 2nd candle of #Advent (PEACE). The #Family Advent Devotional Guide for week two is available to download at www.tbc.is/advent or you can pick up a printed copy in the church foyer.

Week of Prayer for International Missionaries - Day 6

Lord, we thank You for the 40+ years of Carlton and Cornelia Walker’s missionary service in Japan.

Thank you for sustaining them through the years and for their Japanese ministry partners. We praise You for the church the Walkers helped to start. Continue to strengthen this church with disciples who are making more disciples. Give Japanese churches the vision to spread the gospel in their communities and beyond. May they recognize their hurting neighbors who are lost without You.

We pray, with the Walkers, for more missionaries willing to partner with believers in Japan so that more will find faith in Jesus. Thank you for the mentorship the Walkers are providing to a new missionary team in the city of Hokkaido. The Walkers spent 21 years in this city, before moving to Tokyo. Now, You’ve brought them back to a city they love. May the work continue, because of Your faithfulness.
